Eleventh edition of the Ciutat de Gandia Rally-Villa de Pego Trophy

The eleventh edition of the Rally Ciutat de Gandia-Trophy Villa de Pego, organized in a very solvent by the Gandia Motoring Club, was really complicated for the participating teams that had to save a thousand and one incidences to simply reach the goal located in the capital of the Safor. The changing condition of the floor of the special tests plus a really winding course caused many situations saved, in most cases, only by the skill of the pilots.

With regard to the results, the clear domain in the test was carried out by the team formed by Santiago Carnicer from Castellón and his co-driver, the Andalusian Carlos Chamorro, who from the first moment obtained an income of seconds that were administered during the working day. In the end, the distance between the Ford Fiesta R5 team and the second classified team, García and Salom's Megane, was forty seconds while, after just over two minutes, the remaining components of the final podium, Santi Cañizares and Ricardo Ranero, with the Porsche, added points to continue in the fight for the title when there are two appointments as demanding as La Nucia and the City of Valencia to end the season.

The "top ten" of the test was completed by the Riquelmo Gomis from Alicante, Joaquín Gómez and Celda, González, Bernal, Bachero and Fernández, with good performances to finish in the top ten.

With regard to regularity, some thirty teams managed to finish the event framed in different classifications and contests.
